Roseanne Hayward
General Manager/Responsible Officer
Roseanne is responsible for the operational running of the Awarding Organisation and is the point of contact for the Regulatory bodies and is the Responsible Officer for Ofqual accredited qualifications.
David Hudson
Standards & Development Manager
David is responsible for all qualification development and submissions to be Regulatory Bodies. David is also an External Verifier.
Anthony Elgey
Qualifications Development Manager
With nearly 20 years of experience in the extractives industry, Anthony Elgey started his career when he joined Redland as a concrete and asphalt technician. Since then he has held various roles with Redland, Lafarge and Tarmac in planning, dispatch, commercial performance training, project and change management, giving him a thorough and comprehensive insight and understanding of the industry. His last role with Tarmac saw him directly involved in the formation of Hope Construction Materials and the integration of Lafarge Tarmac.
Passionate about education and employee development, Anthony has delivered product and skills-specific training packages for Lafarge and Tarmac, written specific QCF qualifications for extractive employees and created a bespoke e-learning system.
He took up his current role as qualifications development manager in early 2013, working for the Mineral Products Qualifications Council (MPQC) in Nottingham.
Anthony lives in North Nottinghamshire with his partner Ellen, their Beagle, Maddie and his vintage guitar collection.
Gavin Brain
External Verifier
Gavin is an External Verifier & Lead External Verifier for a number of awarding bodies across a range of sectors and qualifications. He specialises in the training and ongoing development of NVQ Assessors, Internal Verifiers and External Verifiers.
Gavin is very familiar with the quarrying & minerals processing sector having previously worked with the awarding body as one of a team of external verifiers for the sector specific NVQs. Gavin can be contacted through our HQ on 0115 972 6121.
Irvin Dickinson
External Verifier
Irvin was previously Chief External Verifier for Awarding Bodies offering NVQs in the Extractives and Construction sectors. He has also trained and developed newly appointed External Verifiers. Prior to this Irvin successfully helped introduce competency-based vocational qualifications and training into two of the major industrial sectors in the UK. More recently he has been involved in helping set up NVQ centres and training assessment centre staff in the Education sector. Irvin can be contacted via our HQ on 0115 972 6121.
Ruth Swaby
Administrator
Ruth has worked for over 20 years as an Administrator / Personal Assistant for a National Training Provider prior to joining MPQC Awarding Organisation. Ruth is very familiar with the world of vocational qualifications. Ruth manages all the administration for centre approvals, registations, certification and management information. Dave Tebbutt
Technical Administrator

Dave joined the team in September 2012 as a Technical Administrator, assisting in the development of qualifications, National Occupational standards for the industry and ensuring compliance with the regulatory bodies. John Pownall
Financial Accountant
John has worked for a number of years as the Financial Accountant for a Nottingham-based organisation which has transitioned a number of ownerships and mergers and is well versed with international operating and reporting structures.
